Detecting Veins - great innovation
http://accuvein.com/
Detecting veins has been one of the product that I wanted to work on.
This product from Accuvein is too simple and great solution for a problem every parent who had to give Intravenous infusion, will empathise. Visually detecting veins in infants and in obese is a challenge.
This is a great innovation.
But this cost Rs.3.5 Lakhs and that is what keeps it away from many of the hospitals in this part of the world.

External artificial pancreas??
Blood testing, mosquito style
A skin patch could one day provide a less-invasive alternative for diabetics who need to take regular samples of their own blood to keep glucose levels in check. The common method of drawing blood from fingertips and using glucose testing strips and metres can be painful, inconvenient and time-consuming.
